Pure Bible Terms of Use
Effective 27 September 2026
These terms apply to Pure Bible, a Catholic Bible app made by Asaf Huseyn (“I”, “me”). By using the app, you accept them.
The licence
Pure Bible is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These terms add to it. If they conflict, the Apple EULA governs the licence of the app.
Free, with optional donations
Pure Bible is free and has no advertising. Every feature is available to everyone.
- You can support the app with a one-time or monthly donation through Apple’s In-App Purchase. A donation is a gift: it unlocks nothing and changes nothing in the app.
- A monthly donation renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the next renewal.
- Payments, refunds and receipts are handled by Apple under its own terms. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The texts of Scripture
Each edition in Pure Bible belongs to its translator or publisher. It is reproduced from the source named in the app, word for word.
- The Douay-Rheims 1899, the Clementine Vulgate 1598, Glaire 1905, Crampon 1923 and Raguet 1910 are in the public domain.
- The Catholic Public Domain Version was placed in the public domain by its translator, Ronald L. Conte Jr.
- The Azerbaijani text is © Müqəddəs Kitab Şirkəti 2008, under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. The deuterocanonical books are © Kitab Şirkəti 2024, published by the Apostolic Prefecture of the Catholic Church in Azerbaijan.
Texts under a licence may only be copied or shared as that licence allows.
An imprimatur or approbation belongs to the printed edition that received it. A digital reproduction is not a new ecclesiastical approval. The Catholic Public Domain Version has none, and the app lists it separately for that reason.
Your notes
Your bookmarks, notes and reactions belong to you. They are stored on your devices and in your own iCloud account, as described in the Privacy Policy. I cannot see them and cannot restore them. Please keep iCloud on if you want them backed up.
Notifications
Notifications are optional and off until you turn them on. News from Pure Bible is sent rarely, contains no advertising, and can be turned off at any time in the app’s settings.
No warranty
Pure Bible is provided as it is. I take care that every text matches its source, but I cannot promise that the app is free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from its use. The Apple EULA sets out the full warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability.
Changes
I may update these terms when the app changes. The new version is published on this page with a new date.
